When can you apply for Honors College?
How can I apply? To be considered for the Honors College, prospective students should submit their online Mason application by November 1st. In the application, students will be given the option to apply and express their interest in the Honors College, so be sure to check the box!

How many people get into the UIC Honors College?
The Honors College welcomes around 400 new students each year, for a total of 1500 Honors College students. Over 330 Faculty Fellows, representing all of UIC’s 14 colleges, mentor Honors students. 30% of Honors students engage in undergraduate research each year and all do before graduating.

No, Honors courses aren’t graded harder (or any easier!) than other college courses. A student who averages a 3.6 in regular courses will probably have a 3.6 GPA for Honors courses too.
