Is the QuestBridge college match worth it?
Is QuestBridge prestigious? Bottom line, YES, Questbridge is GREAT, IF and only IF you qualify. It does NOT guarantee you will match, but it gives you a good shot at being seen as a highly qualified student who meets a certain demographic the college may be looking to fill.
Does QuestBridge increase your chances?
Students selected as QuestBridge Finalists have three options for sharing their QuestBridge application with Yale. Yale has no preference for any option, and no option increases an applicant’s chances of admission or the size of their financial aid offer.
When should you apply for QuestBridge?
Finalists can begin selecting colleges to apply to through the QuestBridge Regular Decision Form in early November (before Match Day), and complete their applications by the colleges’ Regular Decision deadlines.

Is National college Match binding?
Admission through the Match is binding, which means that if a student is admitted to that school, they are obligated to attend and must withdraw any applications to other colleges.
Why is Harvard not a QuestBridge partner?
While Harvard’s peer schools, such as Princeton and Yale, use QuestBridge to access more low-income students, Harvard pursues socioeconomic diversity on its own. Because of such independence, Harvard may be missing out on exactly the kinds of students it is looking for.
How hard is it to match through QuestBridge?
How many Questbridge college match applicants become finalists/match with colleges? In 2016, about 16,000 students applied, 6000 of which became finalists. About 675 were matched out of that number. It’s a very selective process, more so than even some of the best colleges out there.
How poor do you have to be for QuestBridge?
Financial Qualification: Household income is less than $65,000 a year, and often less for a typical family of four, with minimal assets. Often eligible for free or reduced-price lunch.
Can you decline QuestBridge?

Is QuestBridge a full ride?

Applying to the National College Match, like all of QuestBridge’s student services, is completely free of charge. Fee waivers are available from the College Board for students from low-income households, and are determined automatically based on the information you enter in the form.

How many QuestBridge finalists get matched to MIT?
QuestBridge student finalists rank up to 12 QuestBridge partners through the program and are matched to at most one school Dec. 1. If matched, a student receives a full four-year Match Scholarship from the school.
